Qualysense is a worldwide industry pioneer focusing on delivering innovative high-end sorting solutions to achieve optimal processing, quality and safety of agricultural products, according to biochemical and morphological traits.
Why do you choose China as your business development destination?
QualySense is developing quality certification standards for rice and other grains and beans in collaboration with the competent authorities. China is the largest producer and consumer of rice with an increasing demand for a better quality food. Besides rice, it is also one of the largest producers of other soft commodities, such as wheat, barley, sorghum and peanuts, which are included in the solutions portfolio of QualySense. Opening doors to the Chinese market is a great opportunity for our company.
What do you want to achieve from the trip?
Find potential customers, investors, materials suppliers, distribution and maintenance partners and sub-systems producers or assemblers, as well as learning the principles of business conduct in China.

Meet Felix Adamczyk today, the CEO of Smart Home Technology.
The ETH spin-off makes homes smarter thanks to smart and energy efficient appliances for homes and industries. They provide ultra-low power and secure solutions for connected devices with Zero Standby Power and Elliptic Curve Cryptography (ECC). With their business solution Smart@Home® they offer sensor-based and real-time data collection.
Why do you choose China as your business development destination?
We target two markets: Internet of Things (IoT) device market and household appliance market. Based on the projection made by Statista, with an annual growth rate of 41.64%, the Chinese IoT device market will reach 2 billion USD in 2020. As for the Chinese household appliance market, with a growth rate of 12.11%, the market will reach 13.5 billion USD in 2020. This market potential is extremely interesting for us.
What do you want to achieve from the trip?
1. Find another OEM company 2. Settle down a deal with one business customer 3. Get into contact with at least one strategic investor.

With venture leaders China, we are able to expand our network in China. We also expect to find another OEM company with the help from the program. In addition, we can talk to the industry leaders, receive insights about the market and modify our strategy based on feedback. The most important of all, we will have the chance to potential customers and investors to help us boost our business forward.
